I recently purchase a vintage loom to make these beautiful flowers.. I saw them on another blog and instant love. I have always loved yarn, but I can't knit(yet)so here is my newest hobby. I have been making so many though I had to do something with them.

I made little yarn flower broaches.. they are $5.00 each and available at the shop and the Valentine Craftacular! They would make the sweetest Valentine gifts! The shop is open today 10-4 & Sat. 10-1


I have a reunion with my ex-coworkers from Madison. I can't wait to see everyone! :)

in the works...

I have some new purses in the works.. I am hoping to finish a few up soon! I have been cleaning my sewing room & trying to reorganize before I start any new projects! I also REALLY need to get my butt into gear with the Craftacular only two weeks away!



Here they are cut out! I love the mix of fabric, cottons, polyesters, canvas and wools! I have ten ready to sew! I can't wait.. these will also have somewhat of a closure I think! Sometimes things work out differently then in my head! (they are my own design/pattern as well!) One of a kind!!!





I wanted to show you my cute hat too...(kind of hard to see w/ my hair being black as well.) I bought it a few yrs ago on Etsy. It was custom made for me and I love it! It is soooo cold outside (here anyway) my beetle said 4 degrees and that is with out the windchill!

Blythe wigs....

I my gosh I found the coolest thing a few weeks ago! Blythe WIGS!!! Most of them are from Hong kong that I have found so they take FOREVER to ship. Sooo worth the wait! I think it is truly adorable. Jada & I have been having so much fun with them. Alis is the one with the new do & Bella we trimmed her hair up (it was a little unruly)
She is the one with the cutest little snow bunny outfit on.



OK so I am a big dork.. Blythe's make me happy! What can I say! ;)

Valentine inspiration....

I have been so inspired by all of the red and pink out there! Ok.. maybe I am a little early but switching the shop over to Valentine's decor and my home really seams to help cheer up things! ;)

I bought to of the sweetest little creatures from Skunkyboy Creatures at Christmas! I loove them so much and just was not ready to part w/ them so they have a new home on my cupboard in our dining room!

Good finds....

I had some errands to run in Appleton yesterday and stopped by the St. Vinney's yesterday.. I always have pretty good luck there! It was soooo busy.. like lines out the door busy(on a Monday!) I scored some really cute stuff.. some fabric..a vintage creamer set for the shop & this adorable Thermos. I have a few on my counter in my kitchen and LOVE them! This is my fav. so far.. I have a soft spot for red wintery plaids.. Can you tell ??? I also found these boots at Target yesterday for 1/2 off! They are super warm inside unlike my other rain boots!

I am off to the shop.. 10-4!

Haiti.......

As the stories poor in my heart breaks more and more each time! I was watching the news & heard a story of a 15 day old baby girl with head injuries... There are people with loved ones missing and so many unaccounted for. I also read that Haiti is one of the poorest countrys. Most people survive on less than $2.00 a day! I know economic times are hard.. but I am sooo thankful for a roof over my head, food to eat,running water, my family & our health. It will be a long time for some of those people to get back to any kind of normal.

I have donated to the red cross before and if it is the least you can do $10.00 could go a long way in Haiti.
Text the word "Haiti" to 90999 to donate $10.00 that will be billed to your cellular account & then you will receive a text back to confirm the donation.

If you can I hope you will.. we have sooo much to be Thankful for as Americans and I think sometimes it is easy to forget!

So yes.. I have become a smitten Blythe owner! I looove her.. I have been having so much fun dreaming up new designs for her! Last night Jada really wanted to sew and she has been asking me ALOT.. well now that she is 10 1/2 I am thinking for Easter I will get her a basket of patterns and all the neccessities to make her own Blythe doll clothes! How fun right???

Last night we sat down and made a skirt, headband & she made the cute skirt w/ the tree print.. I just guided. It was fun! I can't wait to do more with her!

Simple & CUTE!!!!

I made the CUTEST scarves last night! The scarves are made out of fleece & the appliques are scrap fabrics I had laying around! I LOOOVE how they turned out!

I also whipped up this cute headband.. I have had the supplies for awhile but not the time! I love that the front is elastic and the back is ribbon! Simple & cute! I will be making more for the shop soon!

Craft Swap....

There is a craft swap over at Skunkboy Creatures! Katie has the details on her blog.. just thought I would share the love! I am super excited and hope some crazy talented crafty people join. My last swap was not much of a success.. I got the weirdest little scarf. Anyhow.. I am optimistic and think this one will be a lot of fun!

The best Monday EVER!!!!!

Today started off a little rough & I was filled with anxiety! I had to report to Jury duty! Well.. that actually worked out, they settled out of court and I am off the hook for the rest of the week! I was done by 9:00am! I went home and saw the mailman on his way... he delivered my Blythe!!! Omg... I looove her and she came all the way from Hong kong with in about a week!!! I have been wanting one for a loooong time and admiring other bloggers who have them! "sigh" Well now I have one and I secretly ordered one for my daughter as well for Valentine's day! I found a really affordable one on ebay.. we'll see I have not gotten it yet!

ok.. next I went thrifting in hopes to find a cute closet to store clothes in ect. and I found this...Can you believe it ???(I have not cleaned it up yet) It is great, perfect and the best thing is I have big plans to make it really cute & fun for Jada & I!

Last but not least if my day couldn't really get any better... I found the sweetest pair of vintage Lefton deer & about a dozen vintage dresses. I have plans to alter the dresses and make them really cute to resell at the shop! Big plans I tell you!!!

ok.. I am off to eat some lunch, clean my sewing room and maybe play with my Blythe! Did you know there are some AMAZING clothes for Blythe on Etsy and most are handmade!!! (Most.. some are questionable!)

My New Year goals....

I have been reading lots of inspiring blogs lately and everyone is listing a New year list of goals! I have a few ... I have never REALLY beat my self up if I didn't accomplish them but here you go!

1. Get more organized.. my business, family & at home!
2. learn how to sew zippers
3. take a knitting class
4. Get my first Blythe doll (DONE.. just waiting for her arrival)
5. make Blythe clothes
6. expand the B&M shop... maybe some altered vintage clothing! Hmmm... sooo many ideas!
7. apply to Renegade
8. keep my oil changed regularly in the beetle (you have no idea how challenging that is for me)
9. find the perfect curtains for my kitchen and dining room
10. be a better friend, sister, daughter, wife & mother!
and a bonus ...
11.(maybe actually add new things to my etsy shop sometime soon)

12. eat healthier & cut back on caffeine

My new to me antique dresser...

Look at this beautiful antique dresser! I found at a Neenah thrift store for $35.00!!! I love it! I had/have plans to paint it white.. but for now I am loving the dark wood! It is definitly January.. it has been very quiet around the shop. I have been busy cleaning, reorganizing and trying to focus enough to get my tax paper work ready.. uuggh! (That has to be my LEAST favorite part of my job!)

SPARKLY....

I made a some new necklaces for the shop & cute sparkly bobbies! I also ordered this adorable jumper online for myself...and lets just say umm too small!! I decided to add a sparkly, glittery bird applique and now it is available at the shop for only$25.00!

MUSTACHE mugs!!!!!
