Vintage for him..

I always tell people how hard it is for me to find vintage for men..

well I have a bit of a luck lately!

I just found a bunch of really awesome mens short & long sleeve

button up shirts as well as some amazing ties!

This tie is AMAZING! It is not at the shop yet as

it needs a good cleaning.. but I could not pass it up!

then I have a private party at 7pm.

Happy Monday everyone! I actually really like Mondays I feel like it's a chance to start fresh with a new week! :)

My friend Naomi of The Glitter Workshop is at the Building for Kids spring fling charity event in downtown Appleton from 12-7 today! She was kind enough to bring a few dainty daisies accessories since I am at the shop 10-6 today!

Birthday inspiration post!

   May is just around the corner & also happens to be my birthday month! I kind of love my birthday & I don't really know why.. I always have!  I think this will be my new motto for everyday....

                                                     

 I love having a spring birthday! I pretty sure this would be the perfect skirt for my birthday celebrations!

I am pretty sure the cake with the deer on it would be the BEST birthday cake ever.. not too mention the cutest! I do have a small vintage deer collection so of course I fell in love with it right away!

  I was on the salt water sandals band wagon waaay before they started popping up all over the blogging world! ;) They are soo cute, comfy & come in such fun colors (I already have tan & navy). I have bought myself a new pair for the last few years for my birthday.. this year it is YELLOW! :)

& last but not least! I want this ring.. need this ring! The website it was linked to does not have it anymore! If anyone knows where to get this ring let me know! I love it!

New at the shop...

Just a few new things at the shop this week.. I would like to welcome back Molly of Whimsy house as a consigner! I love her pretty earrings & rings made up of vintage buttons like this pair..

I love this pretty vintage dress that I found the other day! It's the cutest & peach is very in this Spring. I don't think this dress will be here long!

Becca just dropped off some new jewelry as well .. new pretty little glass bottle charms with lace & fabric inside on super long chains! Yes please! :) She also brought in some leather/suede necklaces that are very cool & vintage inspired!

I just got in a new order of flowers for pretty spring rings! The daisy rings are vintage peices.. & have become a trade mark peice of the shop for the last 4-5 years! I love the pastel colors in the two rose shaped rings! All the rings are adjustable!

dainty daisies vintage dress featured on Ruby Girl blog!

I was so excited this morning to find an email from Lindsey of Rubygirlblog.com saying that she had featured a vintage dress that she had bought from my shop a few months ago on her Minneapolis fashion blog.

I love the pop of color that she added with her yellow shoes & super cute necklace!

                                         

This dress was defintly one of my favorite finds & I am so glad it has a found such a great home!

What I am wearing.... how to mix vintage & handmade!

Happy Friday everyone! Here is a cute little outfit I put together that is available at my shop right now! ;) I am wearing a cute blue vintage cardigan.. a sundress handmade by Brilliant Stranger made of vintage fabric, a floral belt borrowed from another vintage dress in my shop & a felt flower hair clip handmade by me! The A line sundress can be made more flattering simply by adding a fun belt, I borrowed a cute vintage floral belt off of another dress that is for sale in my shop! I like to mix patterns! :)

I am wearing this dress with tights.. but it would be super cute in warmer weather with some fun sandals! This entire look can be purchased for around $50. (not including the belt)


I have been sooo busy sewing up a storm.. there are now 8 wrap skirts at my shop & lots of new spring accessories! Stop by the shop & see what is new!

Whats new at the shop... spring accessories!

I have been a busy bee lately... working on lots of new accessories! Here are a few of my new favorites! Pretty little yoyo clips (on an alligator style hair clip), each one is one of a kind made up of some of my fun scrap fabrics!

I also made these pretty collage flower headbands, currently on black elastic bands but I will be making up some on hard bands as well as bigger alligator clips!

I loooove the way these sweet little clips turned out! Sets of 2 for only $6. limited edition. I have a few other colors & styles available that are not shown in pics.

My friend Mindy dropped off some cute wristlets for the shop as well.. there is a nice assortment of colors available.

Spring wrap skirts are here!

I have been busy sewing up new spring skirts when I can. :) I have sooo many new fabrics to play with as well as vintage fabrics which make each skirt unique! I love the lemon yellow vintage fabric I used for the waist band on this skirt!

I love the vintage/modern feel of this skirt made up of reproduction prints!

This skirt screams spring/summer picnic to me.. with its cute orange gingham waist band & floral print.

All of my wrap skirts are one of a kind, one size fits most as well as all fabrics are prewashed & dried. (no patterns used,they are my own design) Shop hours are 10-6 today! I have been busy making up lots of new spring accessories, adding lots of new vintage & getting ready to put out some really cute vintage sandals at the shop. Have a great day! xo!

What I am wearing ... vintage nerdy chic!

Happy good Friday & Easter weekend! My good friend Laurie of Laurie Marie Photography has been kind enough to photograph my weekly wears! I am excited about my new blog feature.. the new weekly wears posts will be made up mostly of clothing/accessories that are available for purchase at my shop.

The idea behind this new feature is to show you how to wear vintage & handmade! I know alot of people struggle with making vintage look current & not like a costume! ;)

This picture makes me laugh.. my son who is almost 9 makes this face all the time! Hmmm.. I wonder where he gets that from!

I love this photo of the pink vintage typewriter at my shop! I couldn't leave it out!

What I am wearing.. Vintage men's nerd glasses, vintage pink top, vintage red wrap skirt, handmade (crochet) headband by Tizzy dee & black vintage shoes! The complete outfit including shoes, headband & glasses is under $100.00!

Man vs George.. cards that is!

We just got in a wonderful new shipment from Man vs George design (from Milwaukee)! I love these cards so much.. they are so unique & well made.

Tuesday...

I have been busy with end of the month paperwork, filing sales tax & emailing our monthly newsletter, all that fun stuff that goes along with being a business owner! ;)

Speaking of the newsletter.. if you don't get our monthly newsletter & want to there is a link on the right side of the page. I send out a newsletter twice a month with new things that are at the shop as well as Craft Night & Craft Saturday reminders. There is also a monthly coupon attached.

This Saturday is Craft Saturday.. Naomi of Glitter Workshop will be here from 10-4 to show you how to make your own spring wreath & or fabric rosette headbands! (no registration needed.. first come, first serve)

Easter is this Sunday & we have lots of cute accessories that would help you fill up those baskets!



My butterfly hair pins are back.. I have been making these seasonly for the last few years! They always fly out of the shop! ;)
