Happy New years (eve)!

Happy New Years everyone! Thank you all for making 2010 an AMAZING year! One of the things I am most proud of this year.. (besides my family) is organizing the Handmade for the Holidays event! I am sooo thankful for all of the people who support dainty daisies & all of the artists amazing work that I carry at my shop! I am excited for 2011!! I have sooo many new ideas!!!

(here are some cute new mini hair bows I made today.. they are about 1/2 the size of our other hair bows! So cute!)



I hope you all have a very safe & happy New Years! I will be closing today at 4:00 and then will be closed until next Saturday.. regular shop hours will resume the following Monday!

Project Restyle..

I just took the pledge! I joined the group created by Elsie of A beautiful mess & Rachel of Smile & Wave. I already do this with sooo many things I thought it would be fun to share. I don't have a lot of before pics. but I defintly have done my fair share of restyling lots of things in our house! ;)

New candles...

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did! :) I am back at it today... I pulled most of the Christmas.. including my tree from the shop today! Thank you too all of you there was not a whole lot left! We had another FANTASTIC holiday season! Thank you Thank you for supporting dainty daisies!



I have a new hobby.. well not really because I used to make candles alooong time ago! I recently as in yesterday..(Lol!) started making candles for my shop! They are very much the same only made by me! Soy based.. in rescued cups! I also added a few small tins. The tins will be reusable.. just bring your tin back let me know what scent you would like and save $1.00 on your candle purchase. You will receive $2. off on any tea cup or mug candle if you bring those back. Scents are limited & may not always be available.. but I will keep a running list at the shop for you to pick from!






I am gearing up for Valentine's day! I loooove Valentine's day.. well mostly just filling the shop with more pink & hearts! Yay!

I have decided to close a little bit earlier today. I will be open until 2:00 today! I hope that doesn't inconvenience anyone! I had a nice steady stream of customers this morning, but I really want to be home with my kids & get ready for our Christmas Eve traditions!

I hope you all LOVE your purchases from dainty daisies however I understand you may receive a gift or two that may not fit or maybe you already have. I just want to clarify our shop return policy. I do not accept returns or give refunds. I do however let you exchange with in the artist or if needed a store credit will be issued. I ask that this be done with in 30 days of the purchase. Our inventory changes very quickly & I do have almost 30 consigners.. the paper work for a return can be quite confusing! I hope you all LOVE what you receive this year & don't have a need to make an exchange.. but if you do this is our policy!



Thank you all for making this holiday season another GREAT season here at dainty daisies! I appreciate all of your support! It means the world to me & my artists! I am always flattered with all the comments about my lil' shop being someone's favorite store! :)

Arm warmers..

I just got in a small batch of arm warmers from The painted Daisy! Yay!! Rumor has it I should have a few mix it up sweaters & scarves after the new year! Stay tuned! :)

Christmas around my house...

Here are a few of my favorite Christmas decorations throughout my house this year! I collect vintage deer & santa mugs as well as vintage thermos(s).. I found the cutest deer last night & his tag said "really nice deer"

How could I resist?? ;)



Here are a few more deer I have found & this vintage tree.. it lights up and the lights are little birds! I found it for $4 while thrifting awhile back.. I have wanted one FOREVER!
It has a cozy new home on the bottom shelf on my vintage end table.



and these Santa mugs.. they spell out NOEL.. I adore them!



my vintage thermos collection, bottle brush trees & vintage santa mug on my old primitive cupboard in our dining room .. which hides all of my kids art & craft supplies.

11 days til' Christmas!!!

Can you believe it!!! Only 11 days until Christmas!!! I had a wonderful vintage gift buying blog idea for today & then my batteries died AGAIN & I forgot my charger at home. I just picked up the most BEAUTIFUL vintage coat & I hope to share pics tomorrow! (hint hint it is for sale at my shop along with lots of other pretty dresses from Picture Day vintage!)

I also have decided to be CLOSED January 1st gallery walk & I am closing my shop the week of January 3rd - January 9th. It will give me a chance to reorganize, do inventory and just take a small break!

Tis the season for Snow!

First off I have to say Thank you sooo much to all of you who came out for the Craftacular! What a fun day! Your support means the world to me! :)

My friend Mindy drove us home through the snowstorm Saturday evening after the show. Thank you Mindy for being so patient & getting us home safely. It was pretty scary!

Here is my house after the storm moved thru and my kids in front of our truck.



It looks so pretty.. but was quite the snowstorm!



Only 12 days til' Christmas .. can you believe it??? I will be back tomorrow with a shop related post! :)

Christmas doll LOVE!

My serger broke (well just the needle) tonight.. uggh! So I was left with nothing to do but come up with a little Christmas Blythe wish list!

This little dress is waiting to be wrapped & under the tree for me! ;)

Here are our extended holiday hours for December...

We will be open Saturdays 10-3 until Christmas..
Monday Dec 13th 11-2 & Monday Dec. 20th 11-2 also Christmas Eve 10-4
& closed Christmas day!


Open New years eve 10-4 & We will be closed New Years day .. but open that night from 6-9pm for gallery walk!

We just got in some cute handstamped ornaments... I loOve them!



and I made up a few scissor charm ornaments.. finished with bakers twine! Sew cute! ;)
