What I am wearing!

It has been awhile since I have done a what I am wearing post. A big part of that is the lighting in my house it is TERRIBLE.. so now that I am open at my new shop I have plenty of natural light!

New shop!

I have been so busy with the makeover of my new shop! This week has flown by & I have not really posted much! I have big plans for the new space.. here are a few pictures I took after I painted. I took the pics with my phone so they are not the best!

I painted a pretty lavendar with chalkboard accents! :)







I am waiting on my new light from Ikea. My old one fell at cracked so I had to quick find a replacement on ebay! It should be here today(fingers crossed) I also ordered some tissue paper poms to hang from the ceiling in hot pink & green) & I am picking up the cutest armoir this Saturday! I will be working on the shop all weekend setting it up.

I can't wait!! Hours for next week are set as Wed. 10-3, Thurs 10-5 & Sat. 10-5
I will be vending Saturdays at the dowtown Appleton Farmer's market all summer!

Summer time inspiration on Etsy!

It sure feels like summer here in Wisconsin today! I was glad that the sun stayed away this morning while I finished up the last of the painting at my new shop! Stay tuned.. opening date is set for June 15th (one week from Wed.)

gallery walk!!!

Wow! Where did this week go??? I got the keys to my new shop & started painting right away! I have a little bit left.. with the help of my tall husband (the ceilings are a little too high for me!)
I am setting an opening date for June 15th.. as of now I think the hours will be Wed. 10-3, Thur. 10-5 & Fri 10-4 (and also by appointment)

There is so much going on in Oshkosh this weekend.. the first Farmer's market downtown on the 400 & 500 blocks of N. Mainst., Irish fest, movies in the park started last night, gallery walk is tonight & my daughter has her dance recital!!

Speaking of gallery walk you can find me tonight at Klassy Kids 459 N. Main st. selling my wares from 6-9pm, most of my items will stay there thru the week if you can't come out tonight!

Bedroom makeover!

If you remember awhile ago I did a bedroom makeover inspiration post. My bedroom was in major need of a makeover. I finally took some pics. My bedroom is the darkest room in the house & is hard to photograph because it is pretty small.

I am sooo happy with how it turned out! My husband even likes it. It finally feels like it fits the look of the rest of our house.

I started a vintage crewel collection.. these are just a few that I have found at local thrift stores all under $2. & my deer that I bought from the super talented Katie of skunkboy creatures! It was an early birthday present for me & I love it sooo much! :)




I bought this tapestry for our bed last year at urban outfitters & despite its not so good reviews. I have loved it & it washes really well. My dogs did happen to tear it recently but I think some cute handsewn patches will do the job! :)
The pillow is a brown vintage velvet that I found at my favorite antique mall.



This is a fun diplay piece I had at my shop.. but decided to use it at home. I purchased it at U.O. It holds all of my owl necklaces as well as some I made for myself.



I love this antique dresser & the how the wood tones pop with the new color! The dresser was a gift from my mother n law when she moved to Utah!



and the awful AWFUL before pic. It was a dreary rainy day so this photo is pretty bad but you get the idea right?



I am soo happy with the way this room turned out. I also have a huge armoir on the other side of the room with vintage suitcases on top but I couldn't get a good pic. of it. It is too big! :)

p.s. I get the keys to my new shop/studio today! Eeeek I can't wait!
