Happy Friday everyone! I am at the shop today 10-4. I have been feeling so inspired lately! Here are a few recent finds that are sooo inspiring to me!

My shop's last gallery walk.... featuring Laurie Marie

Saturday March 5th is my last gallery walk for the shop! It is bittersweet.. I love gallery walks.. it is such a fun night & the one night a month where downtown Oshkosh is really hopping! ;)

I am excited though for things to come & also very anxious! My featured artist is also my good friend Laurie of Laurie Marie Photography! I am excited to feature Laurie's work.. it will give her the opportunity to meet alot of you & talk to you about moving her studio into my space as of April 1st.

We started setting up things yesterday....



This was a special project she featured at a gallery last winter..



I am so excited to show her work.. which I was asked to be a part of. I am not a model by any means,(laughing loudly) but Laurie made me feel so comftorable & I got to show off one of my many headband styles!



Soooo save the date March 5th 6-9 pm. It will be a crazy night.. I am sure lots of sadness, happiness & anxiety as I get ready to close the brick & mortar part of my business!

New spring headbands are blooming! ;)



I LOVE that they are so simple but yet so pretty...



and they are made with some of my scraps, yet another great way for me to recycle those odd pieces of fabric I have.



I hope to have a few at the shop soon!

P.S. I had to close early today.. my son has been sick. :( I will keep you posted on hours tomorrow if he is feeling better. This also will be my last full week of hours.. starting next week I will only be open Thur., Fri. & Saturdays until I close the shop for good on March 26th.

Spring is coming right??

I was feeling very inspired by spring.. well until we got over 8 inches of snow yesterday although I kind of love snow days. I feel like I have an excuse to be lazy!

I did however do some laundry.. clean up a bit.. watch some of Harry Potter with Max while I caught up on my blog reading.

I am still soooo ready for spring. I am excited for my spring line to come about.. I will start working on it in full after I close my brick & mortar shop at the end of March.

Stay tuned for babydoll sundresses, fun headbands, flower hair accessories & lots of bows as well as summer market totes. I have lots of plans for spring/summer!!

I can't wait for bike rides & walks!

daisy LOVE vintage

My newest adventure... daisy LOVE vintage. I finally did it! I opened a vintage etsy shop. I have been wanting to for sooo long & I am not sure what was holding me back.

I am excited to have a little place to host all my vintage wares. Many of these items are available at my b&m shop until I close in late March.

Here is my new banner.. I love it so much!



I plan on adding a few vintage inspired accessories as well.. like the new star rings!



It will mostly be vintage dresses, housewares & whatever other lovelies I find to add!



I have had a love for vintage most of my life & I am excited to finally make it part of my little business.

It is time for change...

This is going to be one of the hardest blog posts I have written in awhile. I have been thinking about closing my b&m shop for awhile.. there are many reasons. I assure you the shop is doing well & alot of people don't understand why I would close it when sales are up.. yes January was awful slow but sales have been good.

It is a much more personal reason.. I started dainty daisies as a hobby over 10 years ago.. a way for me to stay busy while being a newly wed & stay at home Mom that had just moved over 2 hrs away from my home town, friends & family. I fell in love with making things.. it has always been a part of my life but didn't really realize how much until I started to make things myself.

I am sooo thankful for my lil' handmade business & to all of my sweet customers.. I really have developed some amazing relationships thru my shop the last 3 years & on the road selling at shows. You guys are so great!

So here are a few of the major reasons why I have decided to close.. the ups & downs of owning a shop.. paperwork... the time & energy that I put into it & don't get back. The interruptions from people coming in to get ideas.. dainty daisies is not the "idea store" and that really offends me.

I also feel like I am at a road block with the shop.. I can only go so far in downtown Oshkosh & I feel like I am at that point. I have sooo many ideas & sooo many things I want to do & running the shop is holding me back.

So with that said I am sooo excited for the change for the unknown!It means the world to me that most of my friends & family support me especially my husband. I miss my kids! I am looking forward to working from home again & being available to them. In that note dainty daisies is NOT going away.. I am filling up my etsy shop.. I am starting a vintage etsy shop (which I am soooo excited about).. I sell at 3 b&m shops, 2 in Madison, 1 in Baraboo, I will be at the Appleton farmers market this summer & I already am thinking about the Handmade for the Holidays show this Fall.

My friend Laurie of Laurie Marie Photography has rented the space and I am excited to see what she does with it. I know she is planning on participating in gallery walks & we have talked about scheduling trunk shows for me to come in to her studio and sell at as well as other artists (so stay tuned).. how fun would that be!

I feel like it is time for change & to remove the stress & negativity that I have had towards some things in the downtown. I will have the shop open til' mid March so stay tuned for the exact closing date.. as things sell down I will cut hours back. Laurie will be taking over the space April 1st.

Again thank you all for your support & I hope you will continue to follow me & support me thru my newest journey! I am sad but sooo happy at the same time!

she also makes really cute clutches! Vanessa & I met at a craftacular this past summer & we hit it off. Her creations are so well made & she really has a great eye! I also love that she is always coming up with something new! A girl after my own heart! ;)She also happens to be from Eau Claire where my husbands family is from & I kind of have a soft spot in my heart for Eau Claire!



annnnd Cari from Heart felt wool created this little guy! He also is at the shop along with 2 really cute bunnies! How cute are they?? Come and see!!

New Forest hair wraps!

I am so in LOVE with my newest hair accessories! I ordered some wool felt awhile ago & started making cute hair wraps with handcut leaves & vintage trims. Each one is unique & adjustable as they tie in the back.



I also made some pretty hair clips! I have yet to take pics of them.. so I will be adding them slowly to my etsy shop!



The shop is open 10-5 today. I will be closing at 4:00 all week as my husbands work schedule has changed. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I had such a great weekend..and THE PACKERS WON THE SUPERBOWL! I am not a huge fan of football.. but I have to say! I am proud to live in a Wisconsin & have such a great team to support! Go Pack!

busy.. busy weekend gallery walk & a trunk show!

I am sorry I have been a bit M.I.A this week butI have been a bit under the weather. I have a busy weekend planned. Gallery walk is this Saturday night from 6-9pm. I am excited to feature my friend Jess from Little Dandelion Studios. Jess & I met at a Craftacular I believe last year. Her set up is always so adorable & caught my attention right away.

Jess sells her cute knit hats, posy pins & pretty clip lines as well as magnets at my shop.



I can't wait to see what else she brings! Come and meet Jess tomorrow night & check out all of her adorable handmade goodness!



I also will be in Madison on Sunday at the Glitter Workshop selling my wares at their first ever trunk show. (Yes we know it is superbowl Sunday..) It starts at 10am so there is plenty of time to shop handmade & get to your superbowl parties! We will have lots of little treats too! Come & say Hi!

Opening at Noon today!

School has been cancelled! We got a ton of snow overnight! I have decided to open the shop around Noon today.. We have to dig out our driveway & let the plows clear the streets first.

Snowy day sale...

Today & tomorrow ONLY! daintydaisies vintage is 50% off (this does not include picture day vintage)



I made up a few new wrap skirts yesterday until my serger ran out of thread... ugh, not good in the middle of a snowstorm. I will be waiting a bit to restock on thread til the snow passes. I did however finish 3 skirts. I love this one & had to share! I LOVE the scissor fabric!

(and a few new purses.)
