Thrift store dress makeover!

 

 

 I have been drooling over

all of the 90's inspired baby doll dresses

that are showing up online. I purchased

one for over $50 and was so disappointed when

it started falling apart after a few wears!

 

I decided to save some dresses from

the thrift store & make my own!

 

I scored big time! I have 3 dresses to

redo.. & spent $6.

The dress shown below was $1.99

& I believe originally handmade..

even better! :)

 

 

BEFORE..

 

I used a dress I already had to measure

the length. I wear this dress alot

so I knew the length would be perfect.

Be sure to leave about 2 inches for a hem.

 



 

Cut it at desired length.  

 

 

Finish with a hem..

 

annnnnd.. wear! :)

I love the way the dress turned out!

I think this will be a new thing for me

although I have altered soooo

many dresses in the past!

 



I will share more of my dress makeovers

as I finish them! I am so excited!

I have been wanting a tattoo

for awhile now.

 

Bill & I have talked

about getting similar fox tattoo's..

something that has meaning

in our relationship(not because they are popular).

 

 

I also really love arrows & the

simplicity of this one.

 

I am a big M&S fan so

lyrics from

this song would be amazing!

We're going to a chapel....

 

Happy Friday friends! Wedding

plans are in full swing, we know

exactly what we want so

it seems so relaxed & easy!

Bill just got his suit in &

I have had my dress! :)

 

It makes me so happy every time

that I open our closet & see them hanging there!

 

 

A lot of the wedding is planned but

we have to get invitations done soon.

I am thinking this line from

a Mumford & Son's

song added to a simple invite...

I love the kraft paper with a simple heart!

 

Our wedding is picnic themed so I

want to keep it very casual & simple.

There will be touches of red but not

too much!

 



 

I will be wearing my favorite salt water

sandals! I have been buying a new pair every year

for the past 4 years.. this year will

be red for the wedding!

 

Thoughts of our wedding in July

are certainly helping me get

through this amazingly long winter!
