Fun new jewelry by Prettifications!

I just started carrying some fun new jewelry handmade by Cyndi of Prettifications out of Madison! I love her vintage style & use of color! They fit right in here at my shop! :) Everything is soo pretty! I know my pics. don't her beautiful jewelry any justice!











We just got in a new batch of mix it up sweaters. arm warmers, new vintage,knit cowls in pretty colors & I finally made some new purses w/ vintage enamel broaches! They are all so pretty.. made with fun polyesters or vintage corduroy! Super durable & machine washable!

Today..

is Tuesday.. yes it is! Lol! My Tuesdays always feel like bad Mondays to me (well not always but today started off a little rough again!)

however I got to the shop & got right to work! We are back to regular hours now..

Our Sunday..

started with this.. a quick little run to my favorite antique store on my way to my not so favorite trip to the grocery store. (I really dislike grocery shopping!)



I picked up this sweet vintage heart shaped cookie cutter for $1. and since we had never gotten around to making those Christmas cookies .. I had everything I needed to make these!



Jada & I made these special for Jake & Max while they were in the Man cave.. Lol (our family room in the basement)! They turned out soo cute & so much less stress then baking Christmas cookies.



I have been busy sewing today & I have more cute vintage to bring to the shop tomorrow!! Shop hours are back to normal this week. I am thinking about changing Saturday hours to 10:30-2. Stay tuned!

Me & You!

I found the sweetest vintage mugs while thrifting the other day! I knew they would make the cutest set of candles for my shop! I used the yummiest french vanilla scent. These will be sold as a set.



I have finished lots of fun goodies for the shop but I have plenty left to do.. today is full of running errands, taking my old sewing machine in.. YAY! It still has warranty left.. and sewing up wrap skirts later & a valentine banner idea that I actually made last year.. but it never made its way to the shop!

p.s. I am thinking about opening the shop tomorrow 11:15-2:00. My son has a basketball game in the morning! See you tomorrow!

Dexter wants to say Hi!

Dexter wanted to say Hi! :) He is getting sooo big! I have been working from home all week & it feels great to get caught up!



I spent Monday in Milwaukee with my friend Laurie and came home with some fun things for the shop! I also found these ADORABLE vintage hats yesterday. I washed them all up & they will be heading to the shop with me next week.. along with all the yummy candles I have been making!

2011 is off to a good start!

2011 is off to a good start for me! I have been busy reorganizing my sewing room.. getting caught up on paper work and all that end of year stuff I am behind on! I decided to close the shop this week to allow me some time to get caught up.. it is just me running the show & sometimes I need a little break to get reinspired & regrouped.

I have rewarded myself with this sweet gal! She came in the mail yesterday.. I love her so much!



While I was organizing my sewing room I came across lots of prints & things that I love & kind of forgot about. I made up a cute new collage for inspiration on the wall above my sewing machines! It is filled with a few things that make me happy!



annnnd I just ordered lots of pretty fabrics to be made into new wrap skirts! I have plans on making purses again too. One of my New years resolutions is to get more of my own projects done & fill the shop with more of my work!



Speaking of making more of my own goods.. I think I am going to make a few more candles tonight for the shop . I love making them! :)
