Today I.....

....have tons of paperwork to do. I ate spongebob mac & cheese for lunch!
Thinks my allergies are going to drive me crazy. Has a (school) open house later this afternoon for my kids. Ran to Target & got coffee at Starbucks! ( I love the convenience of that Starbucks!) Can't wait for an order to arrive for my shop! Here is a little hint...

shirt skirts are back....

Remember those comfy & cute shirt skirts I made last fall out of men's button up shirts.... I decided to bring them back again..

I made up my first batch and they are cuter than ever.



The pics shown here are from last year because my lovely camera is not working again! "sigh" I think it is time for a new one! So stop on in the shop & check them out in person. I will also have them at the market with me tomorrow! :)

A little bit of thrifting!

I was sooooo excited to find this 3 piece canister set at my "favorite" antique mall! I have the creamer & sugar set to match as well as the napkin holder!




I also can't help but tell you my husband's grandmother has the same set in her kitchen! :)

I found this little shop a few years ago.. but had yet to purchase anything. That is until recently. My daughter is obsessed with pugs. (No we don't have one... yet!) I went online to purchase the cute tote shown below and just fell in love. I purchased the first dress & I am drooling over the second! (It is out in my size) Their clothing line is dainty june! So fun and vintage inspired!



They also have a cute line of boston terrior tee's ect.



I bought Jada this fun tote and a cute lil' pocket mirror to match! (It is a surprise though... her birthday is not until Oct.)

4 simple goals....

I have decided to participate in a blog challenge by Elsie from A Beautiful Mess. The challenged is to post 4 simple personal goals that you would like to meet before 2011 & then blog about each one as it is accomplished!



1. Make a little more "me" time, between owning & running the shop(not too mention making much of my shop inventory) as well as being married with two kids and a dog I very rarely get time to unwind by myself. Phew that was exhausting just typing that Lol!

2. Host an AWESOME Urban Craft fair! This is in the works. I hope to make it an annual event and it has been a dream/goal of mine for sooo long! It is actually going to happen Nov. 20th so stay tuned!

3. Keeping my life, shop & kids organized! I may look like I have it all together.. but I always feel so unorganized!

4. More date nights with my hubby! I miss just "us" dates & we don't get a lot of time with just the two of us!



p.s. I have soo many more.. but these are the top on my list! ;)

Ingrid & the 6th summer Craftacular!

Sorry I have been a bit quiet here! I took the day off and went to see Ingrid Michaelson in Milwaukee.. it ended up she was not the headliner so many Ingrid fans including myself were quite dissapointed! However I am on her mailing list and just got a notice that she is coming to Madison.. woohoo!!! I already bought tickets! Yay!



I also purchased this adorable tee at the Milwaukee show!




I will be here on Sunday with about 80 other talented crafters! Come on by and say Hi! It is the largest craftacular yet & there are goody bags that will not dissapoint for the first 50 shoppers! See you there!!!

Gallery walk is this Saturday 6-9pm. I am excited about the work by my featured artist! I have been selling Arielle's hand embroidered clips for awhile now. Tote bag pillow Tutorial...

My daughter recently found this cute tutorial and decided to make one for her room. It is eco friendly & so cute!

It is pretty simple if you have a blank canvas tote or you could use any tote for that matter!



Fold in the straps of the tote fill with plastic shopping bags or stuffing.. we used both & decorate. I did sew the top together & I recommend a needle used for denim ect.
