I had someone ask me how do I do it all??? Well I can't and that my friends is a realization I am coming to! I am tired, my wrists hurt from crafting & working ALL the time! ,My household is unhappy. I think it is time for me to figure out just how much I can do and be happy! Sewing is my life.. but my kids and family come first and right now I feel like they are suffering!

There is going to be a few changes soon and I will keep you posted on that... but honestly I am taking a small break!

I hope you all understand & I truly appreciate the support from each and every one of you!

A new skirt in the works....

Here is a new skirt that I finished up. I love it... actually I kept it for myself! :) It is a newly designed layered Aline much like the old Alines I used to make. The difference is I changed the waist a bit so there is not all this bunchy fabric. I am hoping to have some for the shop yet this week... and a few new wrap skirts as well! (I love the check & floral mix~ this skirt is actually brown, but looks a bit dark in my pics.)

Today the kids and I and Jada's friend were off to the pool.. it has been a good day! Now off to the library and back home for dinner and some late night sewing! Such is (my) life! :)

Kuen Designs

Here is the featured artist for this week. A friend and consighner at the shop. Mindy and her husband create beautiful & unique handstamped jewelry as well as fun headbands. Mindy and I met a little over a year ago on Etsy in a forum... we laugh about it because I was actually talking to another local crafter to meet up for coffee and Mindy stepped in and invited herself too! Lol! I am sooo glad she did. We have been friends ever since and it is so nice to meet someone who lives in the same city and has very similiar interests. To find more of Mindy's goods you can also find her at the Appleton market on Saturdays, visit or Etsy shop or just stop in at our shop. She has some amazing new bracelets we are looking forward to carrying as well.

(sorry about the not so good pics, but it gives you an idea.)

What a weekend.....

We had a fantastic weekend! First off THANK YOU all sooo much who came out and purchased dainty daisies goods at the Appleton farmer's market. It means the world to me! I especially enjoyed meeting two young ladies, one was from Korea and we hit it off she is a hobby sewer.. she had the cutest bags. They were so nice and appreciative of what I do! I hope you enjoy your skirt (if you read this please email me the picture you took of us) I totally got caught up in the moment and didn't get a picture. I think that will be my first skirt to go to Korea. Thanks again Ladies it was such a pleasure to meet you!

Jada played in her first softball tournament & won two out of three games! They were awesome! It was so much fun to watch! I also got in some gardening time. I have been working on my perennials.. it is a lot of work and with how humid it is and all the rain the weeds were in full force! Ugghh! I do feel I have my garden in a pretty good place, there is a few more things I need to work on.

I am sold out of long skirts and the moment! That is a first truly.. I will have some new skirts ready this week. I will not be at the market this Saturday and posiibly may be out of town Aug. 2cnd. I am hoping to have a real shop update this week!

I have my work cut out for me.. Happy Monday! :)

Sewing up a storm!

Literally! It was one stormy afternoon.. luckily the weather held off for the farmer's market & live at lunch that is by our shop. It always helps bring in a few new customers.

I have been sewing all afternoon... and just finished these. I have sooo many new ideas but I am struggling with balancing my life right now. I guess I should be happy to find any time to sew.. right???

I love the new market totes. The lemon one is ADORABLE, the tan almost canvas type fabric I scored at the thrift store. It is a really nice weight and gives this tote a natural organic look! I really love the polk a dot totes with the ric rac as well. I am defintly a polk a dot kind of gal!

Okay back to sewing! Enjoy your night! :)

I am really loving the basket that it all fit into as well as the vintage hanky shown under my candle & not to mention the vintage skort pattern! YAY! :)

They would make great hostess gifts for your 4th of July celebrations!I will also be at the Appleton market tomorrow.. remember I will be in a different spot each week, so you may have to search a bit for me!
Also gallery walk is this Saturday from 6-9 pm our featured artist is our friend and artist Catie Haase, come and join us and see some amazing local artist! Support & shop downtown! :)

On another note.. Jada and I went to see Kit Kittredge and American girl movie... it was soo good I recommend it to everyone of all ages. It is about the depression and It really hits home since these days it is getting harder and harder to afford just about anything. Check it out here!
