Happy Spring!?!

I am so ready for Spring & 

with snow on the way I am trying

my hardest to stay positive! ;) 

I made up the sweetest 60s inspired Spring 

headbands that are on their 

way to I like you in Minneapolis!

Don't worry I plan on making a few for 

The Crafty Fair in Madison, April 10th as well!

I must be in the Spring mind set! I 

found these adorable lotus bowls

at the thrift store today! We have mini

lotus bowls but these are normal size. 

I think they were a steal at 50 cents each!

I am ready for birds chirping, butterflies, 

green grass, gardens & outdoors parties! 

If anything I guess my headbands

scream Spring! 

Hopefully this is the last of the white stuff 

for us here in Wisconsin!

Life lately...

I found this little dish yesterday

for .25 cents! I love it! :)

There has been a lot of dreaming over here! 

A few signs of Spring! I am loving 

the weather!!! It was 62 degrees in

Oshkosh yesterday & I will take it even 

if winter is not over yet!

Lately I have made it a point to thrift

all of my clothes & I have found

over a dozen dresses that I truly love &; most 

have been under $2. 

I am making it a point to get rid of something

when I buy something new!

I almost can't buy anything new when

I know I can buy a boutique

dress for $1.50.

I get many compliments on my dresses &

people always seemed shocked when I 

tell them where I bought them! 

I am ok with that, it's fun 

& I love thrifting!

Speaking of... I found this cute handmade

lap blanket, like new for Dexter & I think

he loves it! He has been on it

since I gave it to him!

It's so cute &

 I love the colors in it & it was $1.75! :)

We had a show last weekend in Milwaukee at

Discovery World! It was a fun day &

I REALLY love working with my hubby!

He is pretty much the BEST business

partner ever! 

Spring is on it's way & I am enjoying some 

down time until the 

busy summer season starts for me!

Maker Market Discovery World!

We are getting excited for Maker 

Market tomorrow in Milwaukee at 

Discovery World from 10-5!

We will have my handmade accessories &

our new beer bottle candles all in one booth!

Time Flies!!!! Happy Friday!

The past month or so has been quite a whirlwind!

I organized Fall in Love with handmade-

an urban craft fair that was held a few weeks ago

in coordination with the Heart of the Winter

Celebration, a fundraiser for 

The Day by Day warming shelter in Oshkosh.

We were able to donate over $900 just from

our part! It was a great day & such a great event for 

a great cause! 

Here is a little recap of the past month... 

I found this amazing vintage Irish fabric &

was able to make 4 snap cowls out 

of it! :) I sold a few & now they

are available in my etsy shop!

My husband & I started a side business..

Thrifty-Fox. We make soy wax candles

in recycled beer bottles & vases out of 

liquor bottles like the Jameson

 one shown below(of course I kept that one)!

I started making Wisconsin Coffee

cozies! They were a big hit at the show &

I am working hard to catch up!

Next up.. Saturday March 5th, Discovery World, 

10-5 for the Maker Market in Milwaukee!

 We will have all of my accessories &

our candles at my booth!

I just listed a few of my new 

silver glitter star hair pins in my etsy shop!

There are 3 different options... 

1 small star & I large star

They are $8 a pair plus shipping. 

I also added cute felt heart hair pins

perfect for Valentine's day

or any day really! ;)

I will be dropping off new valentine goodies

to many of the shops that carry my accessories 

including Blue Moon in Appleton, 

The Fine Fox in Neenah & I will be

sending some off to The Regal Find in Middleton

 & I like you in Minneapolis! 

I love any reason for using 

hearts in my accessories!

Flapper girl style!

I have always been obsessed with flapper girls!

There is something so fashionable

& timeless about that era to me! 

I was in need of some inspiration the other

night & went a little crazy pinning

flapper girl inspired photos on

by pinterest page. :)

Here is one that I just love!!

You all know how much I love headbands &

vintage so it only made sense! I have been 

making rosie headbands for almost 5 or 6 

years now & I really wanted a fashionable

stretch headband that no one is making. 

I also didn't want to buy new fabric! 

It's so expensive & restricted in patterns..

& again looks like everything else everyone

else is making. 

My husband & I went thrifting the other day

& I bought a ton of knit tops/sweaters/dresses

in interesting patterns to use. 

I pre washed & dried everything &

then came up with my own pattern.. even

the rough edge flower!

I am so in love with the result! I kept the two that

I am wearing in the photos above!

They are so comfy & cute!

Here is the stash that I finished. 

They are hand sewn so it takes me a little 

longer to make but a great project while

watching my favorite shows 

on HGTV! :)

I will hopefully be listing these in my etsy

shop soon as well as dispersing 

them to some of the

boutiques that carry my wares!
