gettin' ready for fall ... part 2!

These will be arriving soon as I just placed an order with beautifulbridget! I am sooo excited to get them!(in Marigold, Lemongrass & Cranberry!) I even have a new fall style headband! Fall hours to be announced soon as well! Happy Monday! It is our last day of summer vaca and the kids are off to school tomorrow!

New.. new..

So I am super excited about the small batches of vintage clothing I have found and appliqued on! They are simple.. but yet beautiful vintage flower appliques! I loove them! I just did this dress that I found at a thrift store last week! ;)

I also will NOT be at the market tomorrow.. the forecast is a bit chilly and windy for me to be outside selling skirts... so with that the shop will be open 10-2! Come in and see what is new!!!

New headbands..

Here are a few headbands I have been working on... I love the beaded style! So cute! I have been having problems w/ my pics uploading and not sure what is going on. :( Luckily I took some random pics around the shop so I would have some blogging topics!

I also am starting something new! We are doing our share of recycling.. so if you bring in your dainty daisies shopping bag from a previous purchase for you to reuse you will get 10% off your entire purchase! Yay! (and yes it must be a dainty daisies shopping bag!)

gettin' ready for Fall......

Well I apologize once again for the little blog break! My husband and kids took a road trip in my beetle to Montana! I have been without my camera for over a week. I am working hard on new things for fall. I finally picked up some corduroy for fall wrap skirts.. purses are starting to turn plaid with some wool like vintage fabrics. I also have been putting simple appliques on vintage clothing! It is sooo much fun and I am recycling!

Fall hours soon to be posted as my hours will change when my kids go back to school.. in less then a week! It makes me sooo sad summer is over!

Fall inspiration clip boards...

I aplogize everyone.. I didn't really mean to take a blog break! I have been sooo busy! I actually took a few days and went down to Madison to hang out w/ some good friends and my family! :)

I was bored the other day at the shop and made some little inspiration pages that I clipped on clip boards! I hung them in the bathroom at the shop for fun! I have lots of inspirations in my sewing room.. I may find a snippet here and there and hang it up! It is usually a fabric.. or color and sometimes even a building like a barn or log cabin .. don't know, it just is! :)

Hope your week has been great! I am sewing all night tonight.. I have 2 wrap skirts left total.. YIKES!

By the way is this not the loveliest vintage apron??? (I just picked up a bunch of them.. they are available at the shop)

New recycled shirt skirts!

Oh how I love these! So I have been looking around for ideas (inspirations) to make some recycled skirts... I first came up with the camp skirt made with mostly vintage fabrics & now the recycled men shirts skirts! I have seen some variations and I finally came up with my own! I love them.. they not only are sooo comftorable.. adorable and I am using some really cool thrifted mens shirts (recycled)! They have a simple elastic waist and I loove the button front with the original hem. Very flirty! I wore mine pulled up high waisted today with a vintage belt!

let me know what you think... I sold one today already and I got lots of compliments on mine! They are only $20.00 ea. I will have to take pics of the tags tomorrow.. they came out soo cute as well!
