It's raining and pouring....

I am feeling a bit BLAH today... I have been sewing ALL DAY & it has been RAINING as well... I have to say it is much better then snow!!! I just took a quick break to run the kids to the dentist. Yea no cavities! I have soo much work to do and I am feeling a bit blue! My Pop-pop in New Jersey is having what I guess is minor surgery today to have a tumor removed from his bladder! It makes me so sad to think of my family getting older. I am thinking of you Pop-pop! I love you! (I love this pic. of My Pop-pop & Jada sitting by his old car! It makes me smile!

Fit for a King and Queen..... & some good shopping!

Well we are back from our little break. We had to leave the house for at least a day while the sealer on the newly sanded wood floors dries!It was a bit stinky! sooo we went to Shaumburg Il. ( a suburb of Chicago ) to Medieval times a dinner and show that is way too much fun! I am not that type of person and thought it would be cheesy and the kids would only love it, but WOW I was impressed chicken, soup ect. that you have to eat with fingers while watching a sword fight between old fashioned knights! It was cool and for a two hour show it was very entertaining! (It is a bit pricey... if you order by phone kids are free!

Than we went to IKEA.. I can't help myself!(I loove that store) I needed some new furniture and I have looked everywhere and finally decided on an amoire for my bedroom that was only available there. It was such a fun day!

I am back to the shop today... I still have a really messy house, so I have not had much time to sew~ I promise to have new skirts & totes by next week! Enjoy your day! :)

Spring Break....

I am just checking in. I am taking a few days off from the shop to hang out with my family.(We are still open.. Misha is holding down the fort!) My kids are on spring break & my husband is on vacation... if you call redoing hard word floors a vaca. LOL! Our house is a massive mess! Everything from the bedrooms is in our small(ish) living room! YIKES!
I will leave you with this a pic. from a little trip to Madison( Olbrich gardens ) to spend time with a special sister n law and a cute niece and nephew :) Spring/summer all year round there!

I am FAMOUS... ok Maybe not LOl!

I did it! I made it thru the segments on Good Day Wisconsin without messing up! :) It was a great experience. Thank you Angela for contacting me. I have had a few people out and about tell me they saw me on TV! I took some new pics of the shop and a pic. of a drawing Jada made for Misha and I.
We are open today until 6:00 and tomorrow 9-12:00

Good Day Wisconsin!

Yes you guessed it.. All of you who live in NorthEast Wisconsin will get to see me live on Good Day Wisconsin right here on Fox 11 Wed, March 19 from approx. 5:45 am to 8:30 am. I am so excited and nervous! I watch that show everyday and was thrilled when Angela Kelly called. We will be making some cool stuff.. stay tuned! :)

My new toy....

Look what I got yesterday, not just because. I actually had to go out and get a new sewing machine, my replacement from my last sewing machine, never was my favorite and it finally stopped working right.. hence the fact it was making some crazy loud noises and Jada told me the other day it was sewing by itself when I left the room! I beleive it, it had a mind of its own.. but at the same time made many many people happy including me with made and sold handmade goodies! So here it is my newest sewing machine.. I went to a local shop and purchased this (also where I bought my serger) and I can not say enough nice things about them... off to go play with my new toy hmhmm I mean off to work :)

I have been busy with newly purchased, washed and freshly folded fabrics. Wrap skirts in the works and these sweet new kids tees in fresh new colors. A little of what I have been up to ;) I also will be adding a few new spring hair clips to my Etsy shop (in the next few minutes) I will have new wrap skirts by the end of the week! It is 40 degrees here today and the hint of spring is very much welcomed! I hope your week is off to a fresh start!
