I love Valentine's day( not too mention it's only a few weeks away!)! It's such a kitschy holiday & what is not to love about pink, red & hearts!

I have been a busy bee working on some new goods for the new shop & I have lots of new consigners as well as lots of new inventory!

I made up some fun little glitter heart hair pins..

& I love my new fascinators! I can't keep these in stock, each one is unique as I have not made the exact same one yet! ;)

I also placed a order with Megan Lee designs out of Chicago! We have Midwest is Best totes now.. I also have the t-shirts which are also selling fast!

I had a GREAT first week at my new location in Appleton! I could not be happier! I saw many regular customers & made lots of new! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

I picked up my new glasses last night! I really didn't realize how bad my eye sight was until I watched TV with my glasses on last night! Wow.. I can see! ;)

Here is a little peek at the inside of my new shop!

This is one of my favorite displays... a vintage wood fireplace that I found at a thrift store a few years ago for $15. It was recently painted white & I added white lights! I loooove it!

The new shop is ready for business! It has been a CRAZY 16 days.. literally that is when I got my keys 16 days ago! I painted.. cleaned.. merchandised.. made new inventory... re-tagged vintage.. and soo much more!
I am sooo excited for Tuesday! I can't wait to share my labor of love with you!

New glasses!

I am getting new glasses! It has been 10 yrs since my last eye exam & I have been having some problems threading needles which is kind a important in my line of work! ;) I went in the other day to only learn that YES my vision is getting worst & I defintly need to wear glasses more.. if not all of the time!

I am kind of ok with it.. considering I ordered some really adorable Ernest Hemingway brand frames! (I just really like the brand name!)

Here is what they look like sort of....

but mine will be black!

I am off to sew & work on a few new things for my new shop! We open Tuesday! Yay!

Sneak peek ... Men's vintage!

I have been spending alot of time at my new shop getting it all ready for the opening.. Tuesday January 17th. My very large 21 ft. sign is being installed on Monday which delayed my opening by a day!

I thought I would share a little peek at the Men's vintage section at my shop! I have already moved some things around.. so it looks a little different. ;)

Here is a peek at my front window.. this is just one side that says "vintage for him & her" I am soooo excited to have more vintage in the shop!
I worked most of the day adding colored pom poms & felt hearts so I will have to share a updated picture soon!

I am waiting on a few more items for the shop.. lots of new things are coming in already!

p.s. Save the date Wednesday February 1st will be our first craft night at my new shop.. in the classroom & my grand opening is February 11th 10-4! ;)

Happy New year everyone! I hope 2012 is off to a good start for you.. so far it has been a busy one for me with the shop move.

Here is a before pic. of (part of) the new space ..

& here is an after of the front room (which is a light pink). I painted the classroom white(which is the striped room in the above pic.)..it looks great! I am off today to touch up paint.. vaccuum & get ready to move all the inventory.
I have had a few sign issues but other then that we are aiming for January 16th for an opening date & our first craft night in the new space as well shortly there after!

Merry Christmas & Thank you Oshkosh!!!

Today is the very last day my shop will be open & quite honestly it is pretty quiet downtown. I am closing up at noon .. heading home to bake cookies with my kiddos & make a few last minute gifts!

I just want to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my Oshkosh customers & customers from all over that have traveled to see me! I am excited for the big move.. & honestly you all made it possible by continuing to support my small business! I appreciate every single person who has walked thru my door the last 4 years! Oshkosh you have been pretty darn good to me.. a girl from a small town in Wisconsin with no local connections starting from scratch, living out my dream! ;)

I also had to plug my friend Courtney of Tizzy Dee... who is pretty amazing herself! She dropped off a few new headbands yesterday & I had to keep this one after trying it on! ;) She will have lots of new goodies at the new shop!

Here is what is waiting for me in Appleton. I start moving next week.. there is lots of painting to be done.. a sign to go up & lots of new inventory! I will be blogging regulary to share the experience of course! The opening date is scheduled for
Jan. 16th. but is not set in stone yet so stay tuned!

Tis' the season to sparkle!

This is the last week my shop will be open in Oshkosh! I have been working like crazy on new inventory for my new shop as well as the planning & designing of the new space. I just approved my sign for the new shop & OMG I can NOT wait to show you guys! It is HUGE!! We are putting a big sign in galvanized metal on the building & then vinyl on the windows! It looks so good!

I am opening the shop up tomorrow (Wednesday) because it is the last week to shop at my Oshkosh store & Christmas is 4 days away! YIKES!

Keep in mind New Years is right around the corner & I think Christmas as well as New years is the perfect reason to sparkle!

My glitter star headbands & hair pins would be perfect for the holidays!

I have these pretties listed on etsy as well.. the link to my shop is on the right hand side!

I also just recently listed the large glitter star as well!

Shop hours this week are Wed. 11-5, Thur. 11-5, Fri. 11-6 & Sat. 10-3 (Our last day open is Christmas eve. I am hoping to open the new downtown Appleton shop Jan. 16th but that will be determined! ;) Stay tuned!!

My Christmas wishlist....

I thought it would be fun to share a few of the things on my Christmas wish list!

I love the infinity scarves by BailyBelle like this one with snaps! (ok confession I own this one.. but I would love another!!) I also sell some of Vanessa's scarves at my shop if you would like to pick one up as a gift!

I don't know what it is about this skirt from Urban Outfitters but I have been drooling over it for awhile now! ;)

& I think Santa may have gotten this sweet lil' bird ornament for me from one of my favorite artists Skunkboy Creatures! I own many of Katie's creatures & they are just adorable!

I have been collecting mushroom ornaments for a few years now to hopefully have my tree look like this one someday, I could always use a few more!

I own this cd & I love the kitschy vintage vibe! I really want it on vinyl so I can listen to it on my Grandpop's vintage record player (which I inherited last year!)

I am open at my shop today from 11-6 & 10-2 tomorrow! There are only 5 business/shopping days left at the Oshkosh store! I have lots of great handmade affordable gifts! We have gift certificates as well in any dollar amount!

New shop inspiration... via pinterest!

I have been sooo busy planning out my move in the next few weeks! I really want the new shop to be PERFECT! :)

Here are a few things I have found for my new shop inspiration via Pinterest! I am soooo excited.. the anticipation is killing me!!!

I am working with Art City signs on wrapping the back of some old book shelves that I have with a vintage inspired wallpaper print to look something like this..

I am hoping to have some fun banners like this throughout the shop. My interior colors of the shop will be pale pink on the walls, mustard & olive accents!

I bought a lamp like this somewhat that I want to add to the class room! The one I bought was for Christmas so it twinkles! I love it!!

This picture I am using for wall color inspiration.. the pale pink which I pulled from my sign will be the overall wall color with mustard & olive accents! The new shop will have lots of vintage kitsch & I think this color combo is perfect!

My husband has said he would help me add scalloped edges to a few of the vintage shelves I have bought to give them a new look! I looove this look!

Only 6 days left at my Oshkosh shop then I have to move out! Here are the shop hours..

Thursday & Friday 11-6, Saturday 10-2
Christmas eve 10-3.

I have lots of new fabric to wash for new wrap skirts & lots of new vintage to organize... inlcuding MENS!! I will have a mens section at the new shop! Hurray!

Happy Friday everyone! Today is the last day for the 2 for $30 Fancy headband sale! The shop is open 11-6 today & 10-2 Saturday.

I also am running a few little sales.. all glass ornaments are 2 for $8. now until Christmas even & my new snowflake wax melts are 2 for $8 (reg. $5. each) They make great gifts! My personal favorite is the gingerbread! I have been melting that one each night in my little warmer & it makes my house smell sooooo yummy!

There are two of the same scent in each package.

My son Max had his Holiday concert & the kiddos were all dressed up so I took some pics of them for our Christmas cards! I looooove this one with Dexter! ;) He is getting sooo stocky!

p.s. I have decided I really REALLY need some time to work on (sewing) inventory for my new shop so I will have limited hours now until Our last day open in Oshkosh on Christmas eve!
Starting next week the shop will be open Thur. 11-6, Fri. 11-6 & Sat. 10-2

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am starting to countdown the days til' the move. I close in 17 days! That means there is only.... 15 days to shop at dainty daisies before we close our Oshkosh store & relocate to downtown Appleton!

I have decided to run a little sale today thru Friday only! 2 for $30 Fancy headbands (regularly $20.ea) Keep one for yourself & gift one! ;) This sale is only good in my brick & mortar shop!

I also have marked all of my glass feather ornaments $5 ea. or 2 for $8. They went over really well at the Craftacular so I thought I would give you guys a little deal too!

Happy Friday everyone!! I have been busy getting ready for the Seventh annual holiday Craftacular in Madison at the East side club organized by my good friend Naomi of glitter workshop! I love this show, sooo many amazing crafters & many of them I am lucky enough to call my friends! If you can make it you should come & check it out!

It is also my last gallery walk open in Oshkosh. My shop is moving to 227 E. College ave. in January! ;) I am sooo excited.. but this gallery walk will be bittersweet for me! I have always loved the vibe of gallery walks! It's something Oshkosh has done right & is just amazing!!
I hope you can make it out. I will have cookies & treats for the holidays! My husband is running the show until I can get back from Madison!Please be kind.. he is new to running the shop! ;) The shop will be open 6-9pm tomorrow.. and I will have some Saturday hours until we close. Seventh annual holiday Craftacular & gallery walk this Saturday!!!

This Saturday is the Seventh annual holiday Craftacular in Madison! I am sooo excited!! I love this show! :) Come & see me as well as over 50 vendors from all over!

& this Saturday is my very last gallery walk open as a shop! I just realized this the other day or I would have planned something big!
My shop will be open as my husband will be working the shop (while I am at the Craftacular)...please be patient as he is new to running the shop & doing me a huge favor! ;)
I am hoping to be back from Madison by 7pm so until then he will have the shop open 6-9pm. I will have cookies & snacks to celebrate the holidays!

My very last day of business at 219 Market st. Oshkosh will be Dec. 24th as I have to move out of my shop the next week! I will then be in my new space (downtown Appleton) early January with hopes to open mid January early February!

Small business Saturday!

Today is small business Saturday! Please shop local & support your locally owned businesses! I don't think anyone is really happy with the economy right now & one way to change that is to spend your money at Mom & Pop shops! We are tax payers, We have kids in our schools, we own homes & most of all we spend the money we make in our community, all of those things make our economy grow!

Locally owned businesses don't have corporate offices to deal with, we are it, we go out of our way to give you excellent customer service & most of the time we know your name & want to build a relationship.. not just take your money!
I know I feel sooo lucky to have a growing business in a tough economy! I am sooo thankful for all of my customers wether you have been in my shop 100 times or just once! :)

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! How did that happen?? I am looking forward to a day off with my family. I will be making a big turkey dinner, relaxing & watching the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special with my kiddos! We looove all of the Charlie Brown holiday specials.. I have been watching them since I was a kid & I love that my kids love them too! :)

Happy Friday everyone! The show is TOMORROW!!! Yay! I know I am super excited as well as the 59 other vendors & sponsors!! If you are planning on coming to the show early to get a goody bag we will not let anyone in until 10am..please let vendors in to set up & patiently wait outside or in beckets when they open the bar! The doors will open at 10am & the first 50 shoppers will get goody bags, (They will not be given to small children with parents.) Thank you all for your support! I have been busy getting ready for this weekend.. here are a few sneak peeks!

New headbands! (These are actually already available at my shop but will be at Handmade for the Holidays as well!)

My new snow globes (or shakers) I used lots of vintage materials & they are one of a kind! They will be at Handmade for the Holidays with me Saturday!

We stuffed the goody bags last night! They are AWESOME! Thank you to Drew, Adam & Mary at Offbeat press! The bags rock & there is lots of fun stuff in them! We only have 50 so you might want to get there early..please enter through beckets!

The 2nd annual Handmade for the Holidays urban craft fair is next Saturday Nov. 19th from 10-4 at becket's city center court!

I am soooo excited for the show this year with over 50 vendors, live music & photo's with Santa from 12-2 by Laurie Marie Photography! If you get there early the first 50 shoppers get exclusive goody bags!

I have sooo many talented friends.. look at what they sent me to sell at my store!

New stamped wooden brooches by bailybelle! I loove these..

Vanessa also sent the most adorable rosette rings & they are large rosettes in size which makes me love them even more.. not too mention her beautiful new triangle earrings!

I also just got in more text bracelets..Harry Potter, Twilight, Romeo & Juiette just to name a few, there are matching hair pins as well. They would make really great gifts!

& We now have dog collars!!! We have them for small dogs, big dogs, boy dogs (hence the vintage bow ties) & girl dogs (they have cute handmade silk flowers) You guys know how much I love my lil' pug Dexter! I am pretty sure he needs one!

I also want to remind you I will be closed Friday. My sister will be visiting from New Jersey & it has been almost 5 yrs since we last saw each other.

My soon to be new shop!!!

You may have noooo idea what I am talking about unless you follow me on Facebook or Twitter! Yes.. you heard me right! This is my new shop space as of the 1st of the year! I am soooo excited dainty daisies is relocating to downtown Appleton (227 E. College ave.)! I hope to open the new shop mid January to early February! I will keep my current shop open until the end of December! I have lots of pretty accessories for the holidays as well as vintage!

I think one of the things I am most excited about is the new shop has a classroom, I will be hosting regular craft nights, classes, trunk shows & you can rent the space for crafty birthday parties! I am also hoping to add more vintage & menswear! I can't wait to get in the space & make it my own. The current occupants of the Bead garden are two super sweet women that have been sooo nice to me! It is really good vibes all around & I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason! To all of you that say well you sure do move alot. You have to move, make changes to grow as a business, you also have to take risks to figure out what is going to work & people get bored if you don't change. ;) I like to keep people on their toes! I really hope to make this new space a permanent home so hopefully that will mean no moving around for a long time.

I have lots of ideas so stay tuned!!

Holidays.. feathers & yummy scents!

I apologize for the little blog break, life has been nothing but a little bit crazy lately! I worked all day yesterday on the shop getting all of the Christmas decorations up! It looks so fun & festive! I loooove Christmas decorations!

Here are a few things that I have been working on & are now at my shop!

New feather ornaments w/ a little but of (fake) snow for good measure!It was really hard to get a pic. with the glare, so you will just have to stop in to see how cute they really are! ;) These are soo adorable & yes I guess I am on board with the feather goods now that I have made a few things that reflect my style.

& speaking of feathers these are so fun.. they are on a base that works as a hair clip or brooch! I love the way these turned out!

I loooove this headband! It is sooo pretty & would be the perfect accent to any holiday attire!

I also made some yummy YUMMY smelling wax melts in the shapes of trees for those wax warmers that are pretty popular right now! I have them available in sets of 5.They make GREAT gifts! There is Candy Cane, Cappuccino Hazelnut, Banana Nut & Gingerbread! I also made a few new tin scents as well as put a few of the older scents on sale for $4. while they last!

Happy Friday!! All Halloween & Fall items at my shop are 20% off today! I will be open til 6 today! I will not be participating in the Halloween events downtown this year so my shop will be closed Saturday.. it is my son's last football game! I am taking one last Saturday off before things get crazy (with the holidays right around the corner)!

Vintage skirts are perfect for Fall...

I love vintage mid calf skirts for Fall! The weather is perfect for layering with tights & boots!

I am wearing one of my FAVORITE skirts ever!

What I am wearing..vintage skirt from Picture day vintage, my sweater is from the kids clearance rack at Target.. Shh! It's our secret! ;) My boots are from Target & grey sweater tights.. I have had them forever.

Here are a few pretty Fall skirts that I have at my shop.. I love this pumpkin colored pleated skirt!

& wool plaid skirts have been a favorite of mine forever!!

I LOVE this corduroy skirt! Corduroy anything might be one of my favorite things in the whole world!

I also brought in these cute vintage Halloween coasters! They were in the original sealed packages but I pulled them out & repackaged them! They would be soooo cute for any Halloween themed get together! There is 12 in a set!

My friend Jess just sent some really cute lil' magnets for my shop! I love the vintage toy iron I found to display them on.

Halloween is right around the corner & I have some really cute soaps in like this little ghost! I also have witches, bats, skulls & pumpkins! They make great hostess gifts & would look so festive displayed in a guest bathroom! Misha's soaps are amazing! You have to stop by & grab one before they are gone!!

I also made a few more button hair pins. A few are vintage! They make great gifts!!

I had such a great weekend at the Sandra Began holiday preview event in Appleton! Thank you everyone for your support! It was fun to see my customers pop in from all over as well as make lots of new customers! It was such a fun show! I also met some other REALLY amazing vendors!

I am back at the shop & ready to focus on the upcoming holiday season as well as Handmade for the Holidays! It is 1 month exactly from tomorrow! Oh my gosh how did that happen?? I am sooooo excited for the show this year!

I had to show you guys some of the fun stuff I just got in from baily belle creations out of Eau Claire. I truly LOVE Vanessa's work!

My friend Christine just dropped off the cutest rings made out of vintage clip ons & enamel brooches! Soooo cute & fun!!

& she makes ADORABLE cake stands like this one! It is for sale....

I also brought in 2 pairs of vintage boots & a pair of cute bowling shoes in orange!(not shown in pics)

It is October & Halloween is just around the corner.. Misha has been stocking the store with her Halloween soaps. These are the newest set! You get all 3 in a cute lil' package. I also have bats, ghosts, skulls & pumpkins!

Tomorrow is my last Saturday at the Appleton farmer's market stop by & say Hi! I am there from 8-12:30. My booth is on Oneida st. by Starbucks!

ADORABLE glitter workshop bracelets!

I have had such a busy last couple of weeks! I finally feel like I can catch my breath & that I am somewhat caught up! I even found some time to visit my friend Kim's apple orchard near Poynette! I forgot my camera so I will have to blog about that sometime in the near future.

It is pretty close to Madison so I called up my friend Naomi of the glitter workshop & told her I was on my way! ;) I bribed her with some coffee & she gave me lots of pretty bracelets for the shop!

She even restocked the storybook bracelets! I have lots to choose from but they go fast!

I will also have Saturday hours but I have one more weekend of the market & a holiday show coming up so stay tuned!

My summer vending season is slowly coming to an end, which means I can have my shop open a bit more! I have been listening to some of my customers tell me I am just never open.. well that is not REALLY true but I know in the summer I need to have minimal hours to keep up with my skirt making! ;)

Here are the new Fall hours.. I am going to experiment with Thursday hours so they are subject to change!

Believe it or not the holidays are just around the corner & I have added a new holiday show to my list this year! I am so excited to be a part of the Sandra Began holiday event (in Appleton)October 14th & 15th! Be sure to save the date!!

I also am going to work on restocking my etsy shops! They look a little sad & need some new inventory. Stay tuned I have alot planned for the upcoming holiday season & I can hardly believe that Handmade for the Holidays is right around the corner! I am soooo excited to have Jenny from The painted Daisy be my featured artist for gallery walk this Saturday 6-9pm. Jenny can't actually be here but she brought me lots of mix it up sweaters like this one & a few wraps as well!

She also brought her cute poly skirts as well as some arm warmers & scarves! You might remember Jenny's work. She used to consign with me at my old shop! I have quite a few styles but as you all know her clothing sells fast!

I also got in some ADORABLE hats made out of all reclaimed vintage fabrics! Betsy's my newest consigner & I just love LOVE her hats!

Happy Friday everyone!! I have been trying to catch up..I have had soo many things going on!

I am hoping to get back to regular blogging now that I am caught up( well for this week anyhow!)

I restocked all the vintage ties that I had.. & I found some AMAZING ties in AWESOME Fall colors!

(Here is just a small selection of what I have at my shop & they are only $6. each!!)

I also will have some really beautiful vintage dresses coming in to the shop soon. I have added a few but the others need to be cleaned ect.

I looove this one! It is adorable & in like new condition!

& this weekend I will be on the road again.. I am vending in New Glarus during their Oktoberfest for Kitsch n craft hosted by the Glitter Workshop & The cottage goddess! I will have lots of vintage for sale as well as a few of my handmade accessories!

I have soooo many new things in the shop.. (like these adorable Halloween coasters by glitter workshop.)I have been working on really filling it up with lots of new merchandise! I will also be getting in Mix it up sweaters by The Painted Daisy as well as her arm warmers & scarves! I can't wait. I have been a busy bee getting the shop all ready for Halloween! I really LOVE holidays & that is one of my favorite things about having a b&m shop.. is changing it all around for the different seasonal merchandise!

I just made up these pretty glitter star headbands! I loove them! There is two styles one has 3 small glitter stars & the other has 2 large glitter stars! I also just ordered all my supplies for my holiday headbands, they are going to be AMAZING!

Look at all the new fun bracelets I just got in from Space Oddities. There is Harry Potter text bracelets as well as musical notes & some fun vintage type images! I also have hair pins & new necklaces by Andrea as well!

& check out the scary soaps! ;) Misha just brought in some adorable Halloween soaps! They smell so good too.. we have Scary spice skulls & honey almond Jack O lanterns! She also sent me a text with some ghosts soaps so they should be arriving soon!

Last but not least.. I made up some pretty flower hair pins. There are 3 to choose from black web, peach skulls or white w/ black spiders. I made up a few rings as well! They are sooo cute! I only have what is shown in the pics... so hurry in before they are gone!

Vintage aprons are back!

I have been wanting to get vintage aprons in my new shop (I loved having them in the old shop)! I reworked the shop a bit today & made a little section for the vintage aprons & scarves! I love the way it turned out! The little vintage ironing board has owls on it ( & it is for sale)! Sooo cute!

I also added the lovely vintage floral suitcases to the shop as well. They are like new inside! Hurry in before they are gone!!

The creative connection event!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of being part of the creative connection event marketplace in St. Paul Mn.! I was asked to join my good friend Naomi of The glitter workshop & our friend Andrea of Space oddities.

This is our booth! :) The event was AMAZING!!! I made some unbelieveable contacts & I can't wait to see what comes of it! I came back feeling so inspired & confident! I REALLY do love what I do! It was a firm affirmation that even through the tough times I need to keep on going!

Thank you to everyone who attended & bought our wares! I think our booth was truly magical!

The energy & support from many of the other crafters, artists & designers there was sooo AWESOME!

I made many new friends & saw some old ones too! Madison was well represented.. our booth neighbor Molly from Whimsy House was right next door(she used to consign at my old shop), as well as Alison from Artsy Fartsy & the lovely ladies at Anthology!

We had quite an adventure getting there.. but all in all we made it safe & sound! We had so much fun & I can't wait til' next year!

starting to feel a little like Fall...

It is starting to feel like Fall.. cooler mornings & evenings! Fall is one of my favorite seasons & one of the things I love most about living in Wisconsin!

I made a cute window display a few weeks ago (with the help of my son Max)! I love the simplicity of the Fall leaves hanging in the window! They really make my heart happy as I approach my shop stoop every morning!

Here is a little peak at the window from inside..

& I have been making lots of cute Fall items like the Fall bloom headbands (I have them on clips too!)

I have some new displays & I made some really yummy Fall scented candles.. like pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, vanilla hazelnut, cappucino hazelnut & banana nut! Remember the tins are recycable you can bring them back for $1 off your next tin purchase & the tea cups can be refilled for $2. off.

I also have lots of new to me vintage in the shop.. like these ADORABLE shoes as well as pretty dress, skirts & sweater vest!

& vintage mens ties.. I know my shop is pretty girly! I do have a little something for the guys! I also have some cool vintage suspenders coming soon!

September is going to be a busy one..

I will be at the Appleton market this Saturday from 8-12:30 (fingers crossed there is no rain like last Saturday!)

& I will be vending(as well as promoting Handmade for the Holidays) at the Pink Metal event at Open Road Harley in Fond du lac this Sunday from about 1:30-4.

I also will be a vendor at the Creative Connection event in St Paul, MN. along with glitter Workshop & Space Oddities Sept 16th & 17th! I am sooo excited to be a part of this event! I am a little nervous about having enough goods to take... but it should be fun!

& if that wasn't enough I will be vending mostly vintage wares at the Oktoberfest Craft & Kitsch in New glarus the following weekend.. I will have more details soon!

1st day of school..

Well it is official I now have a 6th grader & a 3rd grader! Jada started her 1st day of middle school.. she was so nervous! Max was just excited to get back to school to see all of his buddies! He did wave at me & tell me he loved me at least 3 times! (He is such a Mama's boy & I kind of like it that way! *wink*)

I can hardly believe tomorrow is September already! My kids go back to school tomorrow & while I am looking forward to a new routine, I am not sure I am ready for the busyness of the school year.. football, dance, homework ect.

Courtney of Tizzy Dee just dropped off a few Fall hats & arm warmers.. cooler weather will be here before we know it!

I also made some cute daisy stud earrings with a few matching hair pins out of these lovely colored cabachons.

& Fall candles are at the shop. I have pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie & vanilla hazelnut available( they come in tins too!)

I am getting the shop all ready for Fall. I started some cute Fall displays & put out my light up twig pumpkins!

p.s. I am in total denial that it is supposed to be almost 90 tomorrow & Fri.! I am sooo ready for Fall temps!

My new to me (1974 prowler) vintage camper!!

Happy Monday everyone!! I bought this camper on Sunday!!! Here is the story.. I was sitting home late Saturday evening checking out vintage campers on Craig's list & came across this one! The listing was too good to be true & it was too late at night to call on it!
I couldn't stop looking at it & the price was sooo reasonable! I slept on it, asked my husband to call in the morning & at that point realized that the seller had lowered the price by $150. so now it was an even better deal!

We (My Dad, husband & I)met up with the seller in Spring Green which is about 30 min. from my parents house & bought it! It is perfect!!!!

I have big plans to remodel it into a mobile shop for dainty daisies & daisy LOVE vintage! The camper even has a fitting room.. they gutted the bathroom made it into the closet & it makes a perfect fitting room. It has new tires, new roof & a canopy, cute pop up windows as well as a flag pole! Really.. COULD IT BE ANYMORE PERFECT?? :)
p.s. if you have been following my blog for awhile. I have been dreaming about this for a few months!

There is one problem.. I can't get it in my back yard so it will stay at my parents until spring when I plan to work on it & find a home for it!

I am soooo sooo excited! I plan on changing the inside & out .. it will be soo cute when I am done. I have been gathering ideas for awhile now! I will keep you guys posted through the entire project! * I am smiling ear to ear!* ;) I think it will be super fun to see it transform over time!

Happy Friday everyone! I am posting a what I am wearing vintage post today, but I actually wore this outfit yesterday!

We took a little family day trip to the Wisconsin Dells & my one request was that I really wanted to stop at one of the shops on the strip to get a new pair of moccassins!

I wore them all day yesterday.. they are sooo comfy!

Back to school vintage style..

I found this adorable vintage 70s top & skirt set awhile ago! It is so perfect for back to school! ($30 for the set at my shop)

& this adorable vintage tote/backpack! It has backpack straps on the back! I am in LOVE with this! I am pretty sure I had something like it when I was a kid! ($15 at my shop)

& this cute bag! I love the earthy colors & the handles are so pretty! ($15 at my shop) I have also have a few vintage travel bags available! They are soo nice to carry lots of stuff in & super sturdy!

I have been adding Fall accessories like mad to the shop! I know I keep saying it.. but I LOVE Fall!!

Here a few Fall blooms for your hair.. on alligator style clips! I have a few headbands as well! ($4 ea. per clip & $10 per headband)

The clips are available in these pretty Fall colors, cinnamon, cranberry(not shown), marigold & pumpkin!

I wish the bees would go away so I could have the door open at my shop! I am stuck with the a/c on as the bees like my nice sunny windows!

I have been getting in lots of great applications! I am soo excited.. but there is still time to apply. The deadline is August 31st.

on a side note.. I spent the day yesterday in the Dells with my family. We went to Mt Olympus, road rollercoasters, go karts & spent some time in the wave pool. It was a great day to get away one last time before my kids start school. I even picked up a new pair of moccassins st one of the shops on the strip.

& Sunday I hit up a few thrift stores..I have lots of great stuff to add to my vintage shop on etsy as well as my b&m shop!

Craft night this Wednesday 4-7pm .. Coasters!

This Wednesday is Craft night at my shop from 4-7 pm. It is a first come first serve until supplies run out type of thing. ;) We will be making decopage tile coasters! I have lots of fun papers available & some vintage story book pages as well. You are welcome to bring your own photo copied pictures but be sure they are not ink jet printed.. the directions say that ink jet photos smear.

There is a limit of 4 per person while supplies last. I have lots though so we should be good. They cost is $5. per coaster. You will need to let these dry & this project will require you to give it a clear coat at home to water proof. Most finishing sprays are really cheap.. although they may be fine with just the modge podge finish.

I hope you can make it! The pic above is a sample pic off of the craft website where I found the tutorial & guess what.. I have that nesting doll paper available! ;)

Vintage Friday... vintage inspired fabric headbands!

Wow! It has been such a loong week! I have had soo many ideas in my head & I am feeling very inspired by the upcoming Fall season, (It can't get here fast enough) crisp Fall mornings, cooler temps, layering... yes please!

Here are a few new things I have been working on.. I really love the turban look, but honestly it is not for everyone so I have had a Rosie the riveter type headband idea for awhile. I actually used a piece left over from a wrap skirt tie to make the first one... then I just could'nt stop making them.

You can wear them to get the Rosie look when tied in the front.. but they also can be tied in the back for a traditional fabric headband look. I used mostly vintage fabrics in this set.

I started a few new Fall accesories. I love how these headbands turned out. I used some vintage plastic flowers & leaves. There are only a few.. so they are defintly limited edition.

and here is a vintage what I wore pic.Sorry for the somewhat blurry pics. I have to fight against the sun in the mornings at my shop & I am not totally used to my new camera yet.

Meet my consigners... Midwest girl soap!

Meet one of my consigners.. Midwest Girl Soap! Many of you may remember Misha formerly of Sweet Usoapia.. She has been making & selling her soaps since 1996. Misha opened up many doors for me waaay back in the summer of 2006 we became friends as she stopped by my booth at the Oshkosh market & asked me to sell at her shop at the time (which is the location my shop is in now)! We quickly became friends & then shortly there after moved into a joint space at my old shop. It has been a quite a journey bringing me full circle to really one of the first spaces I sold at (the location that my shop is at now 219 Market st.).. & I am now selling Misha's soaps here again! ;)

Misha makes the most AMAZING soap. We have several scents available.. lavendar, Bay rum, lemongrass, sweetgrass, jasmine, bar none (an unscented bar for sensitive skin) and many more.

She also makes AMAZING sugar scrubs!

and wool felted soap.. handmade soap in wrapped in hand dyed wool felt. The felt acts like a scrubby when it is wet.

Happy Friday everyone! I have decided to do something new on my blog.. every Friday I am going to post something about vintage & or a what I am wearing vintage outfit post.

I love vintage & alot of people don't really know how to wear it. One of the things I looove most about vintage clothing.. is that vintage clothing is so well made, very unique & chances are you won't see anyone wearing the exact same outfit! ;)

It is a kind of cool, gloomy day here in Oshkosh! I love this cooler weather & don't hate me for saying it ... but I am soooo ready Fall!

I am also having a vintage sale & TODAY is the last day $10 off of one vintage dress per customer & $5 off one vintage skirt per customer. I have some REALLY cute stuff available at my shop.. that is very wearable now & in the upcoming cooler weather.

fancy felt accessories.....

I have been busy making up some fun new accessories for Fall. I am sooo addicted to this fancy felt.. and it comes in such beautiful colors, not to mention the quality is like no other felt that I have used!

Here are a few hair pins that I made up.. I just love them! I cut my hair short again & I have one in my hair today holding my bangs back.

I also made some rings up with the little scraps. I have a cute felt headband in the works as well.

and my friend Noami brought some cute display pieces for gallery walk. They are adorable! They are for sale too.. here is one that is currently holding my new hair pins.

Soooo it has been over ten years since I have had my eyes checked & purchased my last pair of glasses (whoops!) I have noticed lately that it is getting harder & harder for me to thread a needle.. in my line of work that is a little important! ;)

I have been on pinterest looking for some vintage inspired eye glasses so I can get some new glasses soon!

I seem to be drawn to nerd glasses!

& I love this style as well as the color options...

I really love these.. but cat eye glasses never look good on me!

We will see! Today has been a day of laundry, one sick kiddo & cleaning my house after a busy weekend!

I am sooo excited for gallery walk this Saturday (6-9pm)! It is the one night a month where downtown Oshkosh really comes alive!

I am featuring super fun jewelry by a very talented designer Vanessa Hotchkiss of bailybelle creations. Vanessa lives in the Eau Claire area & we instantly hit it off at last summer's craftacular. I am always so inspired by Vanessa. Her jewelry is so unique & she is always ALWAYS coming up with something new!

Vanessa can't be here for gallery walk.. she is also the Mama to two little kiddos.. but I really wanted to feature her so we decided to go ahead & do it anyway. She is sending some very special items to feature that night & the entire month of August.

I already have many of her items for sale at my shop!

Happy Wednesday everyone! It is a beautiful day today.. Live at Lunch is today in opera House square.. come on downtown enjoy some live music & support our downtown!!

I have some new fabric flower brooches. I am trying to use up all my odd scraps let over from all of my skirt making! ;)

They turned out super cute & would be the perfect accessory for Fall. Yep I said it Fall is right around the corner! Speaking of Fall..I have lots of new vintage at the shop & will be adding Fall items daily. I also made up some new pocket skirts in small/med & med./large.

There are two sizes to the flower brooches & I really love them both! ;)

This week is a busy week..I have lots to do & gallery walk is this Saturday 6-9pm.

I love wearing vintage scarves! I thought it would be fun to share some vintage DIY's with you on my blog. Here is one that I have shared before. I Love vintage scarves, not only are they super pretty.. I have yet to ever find two alike & they are usually very affordable.

I have several for sale at my shop AT ONLY $6 ea. Did you know that we carry hand selected vintage clothing & accessories! It is one of my FAVORITE things about my new shop. I love vintage as much as I love handmade.

I am wearing a vintage scarf in my hair today, just tie it in a not on the top of your head & tuck in the sides.. super easy & very stylish. It looks great with short hair, long hair or great for when you are growing your hair out like me!

I have a few longer scarves that would be so cute for the upcoming Fall season tied around your neck like an ascot tie or layer a few like shown below...

& if you can find one that fits your body right try wearing one as a belt over a vintage dress. Soooo cute!

New pocket skirts!

I am sooo excited about this new skirt style! I made up 6 for my shop & of course made myself one that I am wearing today!

They are an Aline cut mostly out of vintage fabrics, adjustable elastic waist band. The first batch I made is small/Mediums but I will be making a Med/large as well.

I also added cute raw edge front pockets. I looove them!

Here are a few pics. of me in my skirt. I used a vintage sheet for the base of my skirt.

I love the way all the fabrics are mismatched! LOVE! The best part is... they are only $21.00!! Yay!

Well I had a different type of blog post for today.. but um blogger doesn't want to upload anymore pics I guess!

I had a busy..busy weekend, first the Appleton market (Appleton was spared the rain on saturday morning & it turned out to be a beautiful morning) then I was at the Summer Craftacular in Madison selling my wares. Thank you to everyone for showing dainty daisies so much LOVE this weekend!

I stayed at my parents house Sunday night in Sauk Prairie where I grew up & I got to do a little thrifting the next day with my older sister.

I got this ADORABLE owl clock.. which YES is hanging in my dining room right now!

& this vinyl.. actually I bought quite a few, Blondie, the BEST of zz top, Elton John, & a few others! My gosh how did I live without this??? I could listen to Stevie Wonder all day.. well actually I have been! ;) I think the best part is it was $4. & it is like new!

I also bought lots of vintage clothing, some vintage shoes, dishes & a vintage typewriter that will be heading to my shop soon!

I will have some sneek peaks when blogger decides to cooperate! ;)

Craft Night fun!!

I hosted my very first Craft Night Wednesday & I have to say I think it was a success even though there was a heat index of 104 that day! I had quite a few lovely ladies stop by & craft with me!

(and I did get their permission to post the pics of their cute creations!

It was so much fun to see them get creative.. I supplied the base idea, patterns & supplies.. they did all the work!

The table stayed busy all night!

I truly have the BEST job in the world!

We even had quite a few laughs.. headband turned eye patch! Arrggh! ;)

I didn't get pictures of everyone's creations.. I will try to next time!

I have a tenative date set for a Craft Night in August. August 24th from 4-7pm, the craft is to be annnounced.

Craft Night!!!

I am soooo excited! I am hosting my first ever Craft Night.. tomorrow afternoon from 4-7pm at my shop.. 219 Market st. downtown Oshkosh.

I will have all supplies available.. all you have to do is show up & craft. There is a cost per item to cover supplies. You can stop in anytime from 4-7. This is our first one so if there is a wait to sit at the table and craft please be patient.

Here is what you can make..

felt leaf/ribbon headband $10., felt flower brooch $5. (add $1. if you use a daisy center) & felt hair bow $3.

I have lots of colors options. These were just a few I made up for samples.
I hope you can make it. Also please note.. the crafts chosen may or may not be appropriate for small children. We will be using glue guns & a needle & thread. Adult supervision is a MUST!

I love Oshkosh necklaces & fancy headbands!

I just got in new I love Oshkosh Necklaces! That is what I have decided to named them.. hence the little heart over the Oshkosh area!:) My friend Carla from Art City signs created these & yesterday I talked her into letting me sell them at my shop!
We have 8 necklaces total (for now) in assorted colors.. and each one comes on a funky colored ball chain. You could easily change out the chain if you like.

I also have been working on lots of new accessories! Here are a few of my new collage headbands.. they are a little bit of this & that.. fabric, tulle, flowers, buttons ect.

I have the most ADORABLE pic of a little girl wearing one of my headbands that her Mom bought her at the Appleton market. I will share soon! (the pic. is on my phone)

My shop is open 10-5 today! There have been lots of people out & about today! It is such a beautiful summer day !

Happy Birthday Dexter! We got Dexter in October as a surprise for my daughter's 11th birthday! He is a pug/Mi-ki mix!

He is quite naughty.. he likes to chew on my 1950's vintage chair.. flip flops & small objects! It is sometimes like having a baby all over again!

He was eyeing up the tree at my old shop! Lol! I do have one of him chewing on it too!

They really are best friends! Buster is my 8 yr old yellow lab! They snuggle all the time!! It is the cutest thing ever! Dexter also gets Buster running around & playing by biting at Busters tail then running away.. it is so funny & cute!

Dexter loves to snuggle.. whines when I go down stairs (he won't go down stairs) eats really fast.. loves to chew & his new things is he LOOOOVES walks.. he also will go outside just to get a treat (not go potty, just go outside)! I can't imagine life without my little smushy face.. aka mushy.. aka mush mush! Lol! We do call him all those names & he does answer to mushy! :)

I met with Carla today from Art City signs today to work on the poster for Handmade for the Holidays 2011!

Craft Night!

Wednesday July 20th 4-7 will be our very first craft night! I am sooo excited! I am hoping to host a few every month.. so stay tuned!

Our first craft night will be drop in.. no reservations & you can come anytime! The shop will be open as well so if you don't want to craft you are welcome to shop. :)

Our first craft night you will have a choice of 3 crafts..

a fabric/felt leaf headband (you can make this on elastic or a hard piece) $10.
felt flower broach or hair clip $5.
& felt hair bow $3.

You can make all 3 for $18. or just make one of each. You can make multiples but the cost will stay the same per item. I will have all the supplies on hand.. and give a little instruction as well as have pre made samples. I just ordered some very pretty hand dyed wool felt!

There will be cupcakes & lemonade too! Save the date!!! Hope you can make it!

p.s. I will be at the Appleton farmer's market tomorrow 8-12:30. My booth is on oneida st. by startbucks! Have a great weekend! xo!

Meet my consigners.. Glitter Workshop!

I thought it would be fun to share with you the few consigners I do have at my new shop! First up Glitter Workshop. Naomi Richardson is the owner of Glitter Workshop & mastermind behind the Craftacular (craft events)! This is one talented lady! She owns & operates an ADORABLE shop on Mineral Point rd. in Madison where you will her crafty wares & a few dainty daisies goodies as well! She also carries work by many other artists local & nation wide!

Naomi was a consigner at my old shop & well her work is just so unique that I invited her back to sell at my new shop(besides the fact that she is one of my closest friends)!

Here are a few of her goodies that are in stock at my shop..

Pretty flower hair clips that also have a pin back so you could wear them as a broach as well.

Story book coasters.. We even have Oshkosh map coasters! She recently redesigned her coasters! I LOVE THEM!!! (& they are only $3. ea.)

Jewel toned earrings! We have more colors in stock(they sold down pretty fast!)

& last but not least her storybook bracelets! The bracelets make great gifts for adults & children alike! We have a few more then what is shown in the pics.

It is going to be HOT!

It is going to be a hot one today! I am adjusting my hours a bit for today... I left the a/c on all night & it is comftorable but still warm in my shop. I will be open 10-3 today! I also will be vending at the Appleton farmer's market on Saturday morning 8am-12:30. I am on Oneida st. off of College Ave. by Starbucks.

annnnd gallery walk is tomorrow night 6-9pm! I will be open & have invited my friend Naomi of glitter workshop to be my featured artist. I carry Naomi's fun new storybook coasters & vintage inspired accessories! Come on downtown & see what is new!

I have been working on lots of new things! Sorry for the bad pics.. but my camera cord is missing & well it is just time for a new camera. My battery case has been broken & the camera I have been using just sucks the life out of batteries anyhow... so I have been taking pics with my phone. ;)

Here are a few new cuffs that I made using vintage daisy trims..

The yellow & white is actually a reproduction trim but still sooo cute!

& I finally got around to restocking pony tail holders! It is that time of year.. they are great for pulling your hair back & just add a touch of cuteness!

My shop is open 10-5 today & with the heat tomorrow I will only be open 12-5! The shop just gets sooo much sun & it is a little warm in the mornings!

Here are a few fun things I have been working on...

New necklaces that I made with vintage wallpaper. I have two available (and I looOVe them!) I will have more soon.

I also made more of the large glitter star hair pins. They are perfect for the 4th of July!

and some fun new headbands made with fabric & tulle ( I think I spelled it right?)

My shop is open 10-3 today! I also will be open for gallery walk this Saturday 6-9pm. The gallery walk map has our address wrong.. we are at 219 Market st. just a short block up from my old shop!

Hahaha! I know totally cheesy title! ;) I have been working on some new charm earrings & necklaces. I just have a few of each so they are defintly limited edition.
